The conference takes place on the grounds of the Department of Mathematics of the University of the Aegean, in the city of Karlovasi, Samos. Specifically, it takes place in the "Αλεξάνδρειο Κληροδότημα" (Aleksandreio or Alexandreio building).

Participants will be housed in the dormitories of the university, at walking distance from the venue.

How to get there

The conference takes place in Karlovasi, the second largest city in the island of Samos. Samos is accessible via:

  • Boat from the port of Piraeus in Athens that serve the ports of Vathy and/or Karlovasi. There's usually one such trip scheduled per day which stops either at the port of Vathy (the capital city of Samos, about 35km from Karlovasi) or at Karlovasi (where the conference takes place). The distance from the Karlovasi harbour to the dorms is about 5km.

  • Flights from Athens and Thessaloniki to Samos Airport "Aristarchos of Samos". The flights are operated by Aegean Airlines and Sky Express.

Visit to Pythagoreion

There will be an excursion to Pythagoreion on Wednesday. More details will be announced as we approach the dates of the event.
