The SSCC

The Samos Summer School in Combinatorics and Computer science is a four-day programme (24-28/08/2026) featuring mini-courses on topics at the interface of mathematics and computer science. It takes place in Karlovasi, the second largest city in the island of Samos, Greece.

Target Audience

The target audience is students that have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in computer science or mathematics. Prerequisites supposed on the part of students are minimal and courses will be as self-contained as possible.

Goal

The goal of the summer school is to expose students to topics at the interface of mathematics, specifically discrete mathematics, and computer science. The courses will cover a variety of themes, ranging from basic tools of combinatorics to research-level subjects. A strong emphasis will be given to practice, with hands-on sessions dedicated to computational aspects of the subjects treated.
